Good Stewards?

God has given us this wonderful earth. How well do we take care of it? What role do we play in God’s renewing work? I recently took some time out to check out how my lifestyle is impacting God’s creation. I am not so sure he would be entirely happy with my performance to date.

The way we treat the planet is significant for two reasons. First, God made this place. He gave it to us to live on. As his children, we don’t want to trash such a magnificent gift like spoilt little brats.
Secondly, we share this planet. We need to be mindful that if we live in ways that are unsustainable, it will immediatley effect the more marginal people groups on the planet, namely the global poor. We also need to think about subsequent generations. What will they inherit?
